Bloatware? The applications that are pre-installed by the OEM are bloatware that cannot be uninstalled in the usual way. All the pre-installed apps are not known as bloatware, bloatware is known as the bunch of apps that are pre-installed that you don't or never use.
In reality, mobile brands
collaborate with several application providers to pre-install their
applications on the smartphone, but in many instances, individuals prefer not
to use such apps, and consequently they take up space and a good amount of
machine resources to operate in the background.

You can not only save
space/storage and device resources by removing this bloatware, but also get rid
of many annoying ads on many smartphones like Redmi. So, to uninstall bloatware
from Android devices without gaining root access, properly follow the below
steps.
Step 1. Set up ADB on your PC
- Download the SDK platform-tools. From the Android Developer site on your PC.
- It will be in a compressed zip format and the files will be extracted from anywhere on the PC.
- You can find a folder called 'platform-tools' after the extraction, and open it.
- There will be an executable file called adb.exe. To install the adb setup on your PC, click on the exe file. Platform Tools
- Now, you're ready to go and take the next step.
Step 2. Enable USB Debugging
First, on our Android smartphone,
we will allow the USB debugging mode so that we can use the advertising that we
set up in the previous phase.
- Open Settings from the drawer of the apps.
- Scroll down to the segment named About Phone.
- Now, to activate your developer's mode, tab on the build number at least 7 times.
- Go back to Settings and check for 'Options for Developer'.
- Scroll down & check for 'USB Debugging' by opening Developer Options.
- To enable USB debugging, activate the switch to the right. Allow USB Debugging
You have USB debugging allowed on
your smartphone, and now you can connect your smartphone to your PC via USB.
You could see a dialog box while connecting the smartphone asking for your
permission to trust the PC, confirming the consent box.
Step 3. Get the Package Name of the Bloatware
Each app has a unique name with
the owner on the entire Google Play Store, the combination of which is known as
the App Package Name. In order to uninstall it, we would need the package name
of that particular app. So, follow the steps below to get the name of the kit
for all the bloatware.

You may use any Play Store 3rd
party app to mention the package name or follow the below commands to get the
list of package names.
- Open Command Prompt on your PC.
- Then, navigate to the extracted folder (platform-tools). You can use the similar command we are using, but make sure you write the correct location of the folder.
cd Utilities\Android\Beryllium\adb
- Now, by following the below instruction, check if the computer is correctly connected to the PC or not.
adb devices
By noting the specific device number below the list of attached devices, you may confirm a relation.
- Now, enter the command below for the Shell setting.
adb shell
- Finally, to get the name of the software kit, use the following instruction, without quotes.
pm list packages | grep '<OEM or Carrier or App Name>'
Now we have the name of the software kit, we're good to go, and now we're going to take the last step.

Step 4. Remove Bloatware
Since we have the name of the
bloatware software kit, we can now use the following command to uninstall
bloatware from our Android smartphone.
pm uninstall -k – user 0 <name of package>
That is how all the bloatware can
be extracted from your Android smartphone. You're going to save a lot of space
as well as machine resources by eliminating the bloatware.
